These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by PawPerfect Grooming Pty Ltd ("PawPerfect", "we", "our", "us") and your use of the website located at alphapet.help. By booking an appointment, using our services, or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please refrain from using our services or website.
1. Appointments and Scheduling
All grooming appointments must be booked in advance through our website, by phone, or in person at one of our salon locations. When you book an appointment, you are entering into an agreement with PawPerfect to provide grooming services for your nominated pet at the agreed date, time, and location. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your preferred schedule, though availability is subject to demand and staffing at each salon.
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive more than fifteen minutes late, we may need to reschedule your session to avoid disrupting other clients. Repeated late arrivals may result in a requirement to prepay for future appointments.
2. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
We understand that plans can change. We ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with adequate notice will not incur any fee. However, the following charges apply to late cancellations and no-shows:
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the booked service price.
- Failure to attend a booked appointment without any prior notice (a "no-show") will be charged at 100% of the booked service price.
- After two consecutive no-shows within a twelve-month period, we reserve the right to require full prepayment for all future bookings.
3. Pet Health and Vaccination Requirements
The health and safety of every animal in our care is our highest priority. By booking a grooming appointment with PawPerfect, you confirm and warrant that your pet meets the following requirements:
- Your pet is up to date with all core vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian, including (for dogs) canine distemper, parvovirus, and canine hepatitis, and (for cats) feline calicivirus, herpesvirus, and panleukopenia.
- Your pet is free from contagious diseases, parasites (including fleas and ticks), and infectious skin conditions at the time of the appointment.
- You have disclosed any known medical conditions, allergies, behavioural issues, areas of sensitivity, or recent surgical procedures that may affect the grooming process.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet that appears unwell, is heavily infested with parasites, or poses a safety risk to our staff or other animals. In such cases, no cancellation fee will apply, and we will recommend that you consult your veterinarian before rebooking.
4. During the Grooming Session
Our groomers are experienced professionals trained to handle pets of all temperaments with patience and care. However, grooming can occasionally reveal pre-existing conditions such as skin irritations, matting-related sores, lumps, ear infections, or dental issues that were not previously apparent. If our team discovers any health concerns during your pet's session, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you promptly. PawPerfect is not liable for pre-existing conditions that become visible only after grooming (for example, skin abrasions hidden beneath severely matted fur).
In the rare event of a grooming-related injury, our staff will administer basic first aid and contact you immediately. If veterinary attention is required due to an error on our part, we will cover reasonable veterinary costs. Liability is addressed further in Section 7 below.
5. Payment Terms
Payment for all grooming services is due at the completion of the appointment unless prepayment has been arranged. We accept Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash. Prices listed on our website and in-salon are inclusive of GST. We reserve the right to adjust our pricing at any time, though any price changes will not affect appointments that have already been confirmed at a quoted price.
If additional services are required beyond what was originally booked — for example, de-matting, flea treatment, or an upgrade to a different grooming package — our groomer will seek your approval and confirm the revised cost before proceeding.
6. Your Responsibilities
As a client of PawPerfect Grooming, you are responsible for providing accurate information about your pet, including their health status, temperament, and any special requirements. You are also responsible for collecting your pet promptly at the agreed time after the grooming session. Pets not collected within 30 minutes of the notified completion time may be subject to a supervision fee of $15 per additional 30-minute interval.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, PawPerfect Grooming's total liability to you in connection with our services is limited to the price paid for the specific grooming session giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage, including but not limited to emotional distress, loss of income, or costs arising from your pet's pre-existing health conditions. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the alphapet.help website — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, and software — is the property of PawPerfect Grooming Pty Ltd or its licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on our website without our prior written consent.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
10. Amendments
PawPerfect reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services or website after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
